Be Froogle
If you’re like me, you like free stuff. So when I launched our ebay store, it was a bonus to learn that all of our items could be listed for free on Froogle (now Google Product Search). When I launched the store five years ago, it contained over 65,000 items.
Today, there are over 90,000 items, and they all appear on Froogle (now Google Base) for free. And yes, not only are the listings free, so are the clicks.
To upload this volume of items efficiently, I tapped one of our programmers to tweak the Google Base API so we could FTP the items weekly.
Google Base does not replace popular shopping engines like shopping.com or NexTag, but if you already list on ebay, it should be part of your comparative shopping engine mix.
The price is right.
